Red Johnson has gained national attention for his tribute songs to Veterans! His song “Veterans Day” was written following the explosion of a gun turret on the USS Newport News off the coast of Vietnam, killing 20 U.S. Sailors. That song was later used in a PBS TV documentary of the incident. His song “Circles on the Wall” is a tribute to the Vietnam wall, and “United We Stand” was his answer to Bin Laden following 9-11. Another of his songs, “Sunday Will Come Again” continues to be one of his most requested songs on the Midwest Country Show on the RFD-TV Network, and a song he co-wrote with Bud Auge, “There’s A Grand Ole Opry Show Playing Somewhere” was included on Capitol Records “Country Music Album of The Year in 1964”.
Wade Bensen Landry is native “Cajun” from Abbeville, Louisiana. Wade found his musical calling at age 13 when he turned to the fiddle, playing Traditional Country, Cajun, Big Band and Western Swing Music. Following this achievement, Nashville doors began opening wide for Wade, where he became a featured performer with some of Country Music’s greats, such as Jimmy C. Newman, The Oak Ridge Boys, George Jones, and Tammy Wynette, and more recently, he was a member of the Statesiders Band with legendary performer and Grand Ole Opry member, Mel Tillis. Wade will be joined by his wife Teresa Bowe Landry as they perform in their Swingin’ Cajun Style, along with Cajun Humor thrown in for good measure.
