SUN COUNTRY AIRLINES ADDS FLIGHTS BETWEEN HARLINGEN AND MINNEAPOLIS
Harlingen, TX - February 6, 2012 - Sun Country Airlines has informed Valley International Airport that the carrier will extend the 2011-2012 flight season through the end of May 2012. “We are pleased to see that Sun Country Airlines is extending their season now through May,” stated José Mulet, Director of Marketing for Valley International Airport. “We are confident the community will support these additional flights so that we can continue to show traffic demand in this market and eventually operate flights year round. The season starts early also.”
Sun Country Airlines has added two extra weekly non-stop flights during the month of May. The flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays departing Harlingen at 12:20pm arriving nonstop in Minneapolis at 3:20pm. The southbound flight will depart Minneapolis on the same days at 8:20am arriving nonstop in Harlingen at 11:30am. Sun Country’s Boeing 737-700 or 737- 800 models, both with First Class seating, will be used for the extra flights during May.
