C.W. Sturgeon has been playing and singing since he was a kid in church. His dad, Lee Sturgeon, taught him to play bass and put him on stage at church at the age of nine. C.W. grew up singing in church with his family, they still perform today on occasion. In his twenties, he was a founding member of a Texas bluegrass band called Cadillac Sky. Playing in that band gave C.W. the opportunity to play and sing at places like the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman, the Station Inn, and many others that are on every musician’s bucket list. Because the band was so busy traveling, and having a young family, C.W. bailed after feeling overwhelmed being on the road so much.
After taking some time away from music for about five years, he joined a classic country cover band, out of Denton, Texas, called Raised Right Men. Recently, C.W. has stepped out as a solo artist and is fronting his own band.
In the summer of 2020, C.W. Sturgeon recorded his first country album titled “Blues On Parade”. You can find it online wherever you find music.
