Edinburg, is a closely knit community which strongly emphasizes the value of providing a good education. The ECISD encompasses 945 square miles which makes it one of the largest in the nation. The District provides award winning academic services at 4 high schools, 6 middle schools, 31 elementary schools, and 1 alternative and 1 credit recovery campus.
Student membership for the Edinburg CISD is over 34,500 students. New students and families choose to enroll in the District annually. The District offers a well balanced elementary curriculum with small classes which concentrate on strong oral and written language programs. The district provides a half-day Pre-K program as well as open enrollment for any students living in school districts in the surrounding areas.
All of our schools offer strong academic programs with diversified course offerings in fine arts, athletics, elective subjects and career and technical education.
