John Elway’s Hamburger Soup

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • Onions and garlic
  • 3 cans beef stock
  • 1 lg can of Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilis
  • 1 medium can of tomato sauce
  • 1 cup diced potatoes with skin
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 can french style beans
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 1 Tbs parsley
  • 1/2 tbs basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


INSTRUCTIONS

In a large pot, saute 1-2 medium onions and 1 minced garlic in 2 T butter. Set aside and fry 2-3 lbs of hamburger meat. Drain grease. Add to hamburger meat. Boil and simmer until veggies are done. Serve with warm bread.
