The churches of Christ salute you" Romans 16:16 We are a congregation of God's people, which have a Texas size heart. We love our heavenly Father, His Son, each other, and the Rio Grande Valley. We believe in the truth of Jesus Christ. The Bible, as God’s holy, inspired Word, is our only guide to establishing and maintaining the good works that He has in His plan for us. We try to pattern ourselves after the Christians of the first century in collective worship, church organization and discipleship. The church of Christ is organized with elders, deacons, preachers, and members as in New Testament times (Philippians 1:1).

Our mission is to lift Christ up so that all men may be drawn to him. We are a church with a big mission: Reaching out to all of those that seek a closer walk with their heavenly Father and Reaching in, to our members all to the glory of God. We strive to do this by "worshiping in spirit and truth" (John 3:23,24) Our Bible studies are designed to educate and motivate each student to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What can you expect in our worship?
Each Sunday we gather together to worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:24). We pray (1 Timothy 2:8), share the Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:18-21, Acts 20:7); We also use this time, while only by convenience, to take up an offering for the work of the church and for those among us who are in need (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). We hear a message preached from the Bible (1 Timothy 4:1-2), and we sing songs of praise. The “A Cappella” Style, is with the voice and heart alone (Ephesians. 5:19), unaccompanied by musical instruments with the focus on God and the words being sung.

Welcome to the valley Winter Texan; we encourage you to visit with us. Feel free to join us this Sunday for Bible Classes for all ages at 9:30 am and stay for worship at 10:30 am. We meet Sunday night at 5 pm and Wednesdays at 7 pm. We have a parking space just for you. If you are enjoying the winter in the valley, or if you live in the area and are seeking a loving congregation to visit, please consider this your personal invitation.
