You can call her Lucy Ann or L.A., but please don’t call her Lucy. Lucy Ann oversees the Super Savings Fiesta (SSF) coupon books, helping schools and nonprofit organizations raise money. She can also help you with any of your business and marketing needs.
Lucy Ann was born and raised in Harlingen but has lived in McAllen for the past five years. "I love the Valley,” she said. “Always have. Being from here, I have so many great memories of the Island and at our deer lease. I’m blessed that I can share these memories with my own family. We love the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and the best part is that my family still resides in Harlingen, so we are all close.”’
Between work and raising three children, Lucy Ann finds little time for reading. However, she does have a favorite quotation. It’s from 2 Corinthians 12:9: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
This is especially profound because Lucy Ann broke her back in a car accident 23 years ago. “I learned to walk again,” she said, “and have been blessed every day.”
Like several others at Welcome Home RGV, Lucy Ann’s favorite spot in the Valley is South Padre Island. She especially enjoys fishing with family and friends on the Laguna Madre. Despite her love of fishing, Lucy Ann has never been to Falcon Lake, a place she has heard is an excellent site for bass fishing, which would also be a new experience for her.
Whether it’s fundraising, faith, or fishing you want to know more about, Lucy Ann is ready to assist you.
