What are the dates for Cruise with Kristi 2022?

February4 - February 12, 2023. Saturday, February 4, 2023, is a travel day and the ship sets sail on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

What ship and cruise line are you cruising on?

Royal Caribbean’s, Allure of the Seas out of Galveston, Texas.

What are the ports of call?

Cozumel, Mexico; Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico and Roatan, Honduras

How much does it cost?

It depends on the type of cabin you choose, there are several choices, Inside, ocean view, balcony, and suite. Give us a call at (956) 687-5115 for the most up to date rate.

What does the package include?

The total package includes 7 Night Cruise aboard Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas with round trip bus transportation from the Rio Grande Valley to Galveston. It includes a one (1) pre-night hotel stay at Sugar Land Marriott plus breakfast, Cruise Care Insurance, and gratuities on board the ship.

How much is the deposit?

You can reserve your spot with a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 per person. While it is non-refundable, it can be used towards another cruise at a later day, however, change fees will apply.

What type of documentation do I need to get on the ship??

US citizens will need a Passport, which is preferred or a Pass card.
Canadian citizens require a Passport.

What if someone from home needs to get a hold of me?

Your friends and family can contact the ship by calling (888) 724-7447. Or from
outside the U.S., they can call (321) 953-9003. The cost is $7.95 USD a
minute and can be charged to their MasterCard ® or Visa ®. From outside the
U.S. additional long-distance charges will also apply.

Bus Transportation & Hotel

What time will we leave the Rio Grande Valley?

We have several buses leaving from different
parts of the Rio Grande Valley. We will make sure you are on the bus closest to
your park. We will leave the RGV between 8:00 am – 9:30 am depending
on which bus you are on.

Can I leave my car at the bus pick-up and drop of points?

No, please have someone drop you off. Each RV Park has extremely limited
parking and have different events going on during the week.

How long will it take us to get to Sugar Land?

Approximately 5 ½ to 6 hours depending on weather and traffic.

What pre-night hotel are we staying at?

We will more than likely stay at the Marriott Town Square in Sugar Land, Texas.

Are there restaurants by the Hotel in Sugar Land?

Yes! We promise you will not go hungry. There are plenty of options, we will provide a list as we get closer to cruising.

How long will it take to get from Sugar Land hotel to the cruise port?

Approximately 1 ½ hours.

How long will it take us to get home on Sunday?

Approximately 7 – 8 Hours depending on weather and traffic.

Are we going to stop for meals going up and returning home?

Yes, we will make several stops going and returning. All the cost of meals and snacks are on your own. Make sure you eat breakfast before we leave. We will stop for lunch and snacks going and returning.

Is there a restroom on the bus?


Can we bring food on the bus?

Yes, we just need to make sure we clean up after ourselves.

Do we need to tip the bus driver?

It is not necessary, but tips are very welcome!

Luggage, Packing & Money

How much luggage can I bring?

Two (2) pieces per person, plus you will need to bring an overnight bag that will fit in the overhead compartment of the bus for our overnight stay at the Marriott Town Square Sugar Land.

Where is my luggage going to be stored on the pre-night?

It will be locked on the bus.

What should I pack?

Resort or Casual wear, swimsuit. There are two (2) “Wear Your Best” nights which has replaced the “Formal” nights, but you are welcome to bring you tuxedos and sequins if you so wish.

What about luggage tags?

We will provide them for you. You will need to fold them and securely fasten
them to your luggage handles. Before getting to the bus Saturday morning.

Do I need to pack a beach towel?

No. You do have to check them out (like a library book) on the pool deck. If
you do not turn them back in, you will be charged $25.00 per towel.

How much cash do I need to bring?

This is a personal decision. If you plan on buying a lot of souvenirs you may want to bring extra spending money, just remember whatever you purchase must fit in your luggage to bring home.

Do I need to exchange US currency to Mexican Pesos?

It isn’t necessary, most venders and stores except US currency and welcome it.

Payments, Insurance & Gratuities

How much do I have to put down as a deposit?

How much is travel insurance?

This also depends on the rate of your trip. It starts from $68.00 per person and goes up from there.

What are gratuities and do I have to pay them?

Yes, you will be responsible for gratuities. The cost is a total of $101.50 per person. For suite guests will be a total of $122.50 per person.

When is the final payment due?

Final payment is due October 27, 2022. We will send you a reminder mid-September.

How do I pay for things on board the ship?

An Onboard Expense Account, also known as your Seapass onboard
account, is the cashless system used for all onboard purchases and services. This will be linked to a credit card or debit card; you will need to provide this at check in. SeaPass cards will be outside your stateroom waiting for you in a sealed envelope. The account can be set-up with either a credit card or debit card.

Manage My Cruise

How and when can I book Shore Excursions?

You can go to www.royalcaribbean.com find “Manage my Cruise” click on it, you
will be prompted to create an account, if you don’t already have one. After you
have created an account, it will take you to the “Cruise Planner”, this is
where you will find all shore excursions, drink packages, internet packages and
spa packages.

Is there internet on the ship?

Yes, it is called VOOM and can be pre-purchased prior to sailing on "Cruise Planner" at www.royalcaribbean.com or can be purchased once on board.

Is there a beverage package I can purchase?

Yes, there are different packages, Deluxe Beverage Package, Refreshment
Package, Coffee Package, Classic Soda Package and Water Package.
These also can be pre-purchased prior to sailing or once on board at www.royalcaribbean.com on the “Cruise Planner”.

What if I do not want a drink package, can I still get a drink?

Yes, there are water, iced tea, lemonade, and coffee stations in different dining options around the ship. You can ask for a glass of water at any bar around the ship. You can also purchase any alcoholic beverage, virgin drinks, premium coffee, and bottled water A’ la cart.

Special Needs

What if I need to rent a wheelchair, motorized cart, or any type of assistance for the duration of the cruise?

Let us know as soon as you can, so we can make arrangements for you. There is a fee for each.

What if I just need a wheelchair getting on and off the ship?

Let us know as soon as you can, we can also make arrangements for this as well. The cruise line has a very limited amount. So, some waiting might happen.

What if I need to take my CPAP machine or get a medical refrigerator?

Let us know so we can notify Royal Caribbean. Royal Caribbean will provide
the distilled water and extension cord for your CPAP and Royal Caribbean will
provide a medical refrigerator.

Royal Caribbean App

Will I need the Royal Caribbean App?

You will need to download the Royal Caribbean app on your smartphone.

You will find it on the Apple App Store for Apple devices or on the Google Play Store for Android devices. You will need this to check in for your cruise and upload your passport and other documents that may be needed at the time of sailing.

Alcohol, Smoking & Tobacco

Can I bring alcohol and Tobacco on the ship?

You can bring one (1) bottle of unopened 750 ml of wine per person on board with you. You must carry it on with your carry-on items.

Can I smoke on the ship?

Yes, there are smoking areas on the ship. The smoking areas are on the port side of the ship on the pool decks and in the casino. You cannot smoke on your balcony; Royal Caribbean will enforce a fine if you do.

How much alcohol and tobacco can I bring home?

Texas laws allow you to bring back a total of only 1 gallon of alcohol or 3 gallons of wine per adult. Amounts above your personal exemption are taxed at a rate of 3%. Every bottle of alcohol or pack of cigarettes brought into Galveston will be taxed ($3.75 per liter/$1.50 per pack). So, if you bring back a single liter of alcohol from the duty-free shop on the ship or in a port, you can expect a tax of $3.75. Expect each additional bottle to be taxed at $3.75 plus 3% of the purchase price.
