Winter Texans have been flocking to South Texas to escape harsh winters for decades. Despite the fact that over 100,000 visit each winter season, the appeal of South Texas is catching on. There are many factors that play into what makes the area a great place to winter.
Located at the southern tip of Texas, along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico and the Rio Grande, the Rio Grande Valley is comprised of approximately 70 cities and small towns, communities that welcome and appreciate our winter visitors. We affectionately call them Winter Texans.
